We have greatly appreciated Caroline as the most warm, fun, interesting and colourful next-door neighbour. We will miss our chats over the garden fence and seeing her buzz round in her little red camper van, but we do have one of her prints in our living room and so, in lots of ways, she will always be remembered.

I only met Caroline once, at the ICAN Campaigners meeting in 2018, but we connected immediately - as disarmament activists, fellow (frustrated) Brits, and as Christians. We then stayed in touch regularly over email and she impressed me so much with her long dedication to disarmament, and I felt honoured to know her. Matthew 5.9 says "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God", and that fittingly describes Caroline. Jennifer Philpot-Nissen, World Council of Churches

I always enjoyed Caroline's humour and wit whenever we met and worked together on things to do with the treaty on the prohibition of nuclear weapons, admired her energy and drive, and am glad that I was able to have met her in this movement. I was lucky to meet Caroline in advocacy for the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. She brought such a great spirit, commitment and wit to the work. She was also a really warm and genuine person. She’ll be truly missed. Thoughts are with her loved ones.

We met on ICAN nuclear disarmament events in NYC and Geneva. She was always very friendly and welcoming, and our conversations were always very interesting. She was dedicated and passionate and transmitted a genuine desire for peace, something that was always refreshing, and that, in my case, helped remind me why I chose to be in this in the first place. She will certainly be missed by the disarmament community.
